Description
I’m new to English Paper Piecing (EPP) and my first project requires 100 1/2″ hexies, using the paper pieces as a template. I was making such a mess of the fabric and was worried that I would run out before all the pieces were done.
So to make life easier, I decided to make a stencil which allows you to draw four hexagons at the correct size, using a fabric pen.
The hexagon has a 0.75″ side, which leaves you with a 1/4″ seam allowance when it comes to basting them to your 1/2″ paper pieces.
The clear acrylic allows you to make full use of your fabric too, leaving very little waste.
