Description
I thought it would be fun to curate a collection of stitch markers that take you from day one of my business through to 2021.
The wooden sheep was the first stitch marker I ever made, and it was the first listing in my Etsy shop back in February 2019. Then came a variation of the heart shape which appeared in the first set of sock blockers back in 2020 and in many more products too.
The clear acrylic marker was made in the same year and became a customer favourite. And finally, the wooden bear marker.
If you only discovered me since my move back to the UK, then you’ll probably wonder what the bear marker is all about. For a long time, I made custom wooden buttons for beanie knitters, who used the buttons to thread their faux poms through to then attach them to their beanies. So I thought it would be fun to make one into a stitch marker.
There are three fixings to choose from:
- 10 mm gold or silver snag-free rings, which fit up to an 8 mm (US 11) knitting needle
- 10 mm gold or silver lobster clasp, that can be used as a progress keeper
- Gold lever clasp – sorry these aren’t available in silver
